Sim City 4 Review Part II

Care and attention needs to be given at all times to your expenditure. If your expenditure is higher than your income your in big trouble. One way to lower the expenditure is by reducing the money spent on facilities, health & education etc.

However neglecting your Sims needs can really annoy them and you could find yourself with a riot or two on your hands. If so send in the police by simply clicking the emergency tab choosing police and clicking the scene of the crime. When balancing out or lowering the demand bar all you need to do is simply drag a type of terrain over a piece of land.

When you drag a piece to a certain size the street roads a made for you so all you need to worry about is providing a main road leading to the land a water supply and power. The water and power is very easy to maintain than the previous Sim Cities. Sim City 4 has beautiful building detail, which is simply breathtaking.

When zooming into your city the detail just gets better and better, you can even watch sims walk the streets of your city and laugh at the rush our traffic caused by your poor planning. People believe that it’s only a strategy game so it cant be too power hungry, can it? Wrong, it will require a one-gig processor and a powerful graphics card in order to get the best out of this game. Sim City 4 is very addictive and well worth the money.

UNREAL TOURNAMENT Review III

Sim City 4 Review Part I

Sim City 4 is inevitably the best Sim City game from Maxis yet. It has proven to be much more challenging but more straight forward than it’s predecessors. It has lots more to offer than any other Sim City. When starting a new city you get the chance to pick a plot of land from a large region of windows, which make up s small piece of the world.

You can pick from a small, medium or large window depending on how large you intend your city to be. It is possible to sculpt your landscape you’re your liking by adding cliffs, crevices and even deep misty valleys. Once a few cities have been made it is possible to connect your sim cities to form a huge network of metropolises. You have fairly little financial support to start off with, however if you manage to get the knack of the taxes it’s possible to earn the big bucks.

One very ingenious feature of the game is being able to import your favourite Sims into your city. You get to give them names, choose where they live and watch them live their lives in your very own city. You have a maximum of 5 sims that you can import. This can be a good way of getting feedback for how well all your sims are coping in your city.

If a sim doesn’t like something they’ll say so and allow you to change and develop your city so that it’s more pleasant and cosy for your Sims. By doing this you can increase your mayor rating. Your mayor rating can be seen on the tool bar as a bar of green blocks. Each block represents 5 mayor points. Having a high mayor rating can be very rewarding as you can be rewarded with new building such as research centres and a mayor league baseball park.
